Ca Phe Sang
This woodcut is a 3 layer reduction print and is inspired by the morning coffee culture here in HCMC. 'Ca Phe Sang' simply means 'morning coffee' and in the image you can see the different ways it served. I also included 3 different examples of people from different walks of life to symbolise how this morning activity brings people together as the coffe shops along the streets are usually lined with business.

Ca Phe Sang ‘morning coffee’
In the mornings in Vietnam across the country you can see street side cafes busy, full of business. Everyone takes their early caffeine hit differently as illustrated in the picture and I like that this morning routine brings people together from different walks of life everyday.
Originally an edition of 6 handmade woodcuts on Vietnamese Dzo paper.
Digitally manipulated reproduction prints available through Saigon Print Shop.
