Cơm Tấm Bình Dân

'cơm tấm bình dân' - 'Broken rice for everyone'

Nestled down a small alley at number 241 on Ben Van Don street, Q4 you can find this iconic Com Tam place.

'cơm' meaning rice and 'tấm' meaning 'broken' relates to the broken rice grains that have been fractured in the milling process. This is a unique part of Vietnamese cuisine and can be found all over the country.

In the picture the different pots represent the different side dishes available at this alley way takeaway.
