Hue Citadel – Triptych - Woodcut + Watercolor

This triptych set was inspired by a recent trip to the Hue Citadel and specifically the ancient, royal gardens. When walking around these recently renovated gardens you are transported back through time and get a sense of the past. This design was re-illustrated from the artist’s photography to re-create a scene of daily life when this ancient city was inhabited.

Limited edition of 8, multiple layer woodcut on 300 GSM, 100% cotton paper. Hand carved and printed from a 20 x 30cm Japanese magnolia woodblock and painted with watercolor.
