Oc Cuc, Q4 Saigon

As part of my ‘Quan 4’ series this print was inspired by a late night walk along Vinh Khanh street. This street is lined with seafood restaurants and is best place in Saigon to get some tasty sea snails. The long, thin trees that line the streets are an iconic feature of this city and add to the character of the area.  
 
This print is a unique 3 layer woodcut reduction print with added watercolour tones between the layers. Hand printed on to Arches 300GSM hot press archival rag, hand carved from a 15 x 20cm Japanese magnolia block.
