About the artist
Jack Clayton is an illustrator / printmaker from London who specialises in the medium of woodcut printmaking. He relief prints his blocks by hand and often uses the reduction method to add multiple layers of colour from a single block of wood.
In 2010 he left the UK and spent 2 years travelling and working around Australia before venturing over to South East Asia and finally residing in Ho Chi Minh City. He has been creating art inspired by this new environment, hosting workshops and exhibitions ever since.

Jack Clayton is a London-born illustrator and woodcut printmaker based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam since 2012. Specialising in the ancient medium of woodcut, Jack relief prints every block entirely by hand, often employing the reduction method to build multiple layers of colour and depth from a single piece of wood — a process that makes each print genuinely unique.
Over more than a decade in Vietnam, Jack has developed an extensive body of work inspired by the country's rich history, vibrant street culture, and the everyday life of its people. His work is held in private collections worldwide and has been exhibited across Vietnam and internationally.
Jack works from his gallery studio in Khanh Hoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, which is open to the public Thursday to Sunday, 12pm – 6pm, and by appointment outside of these hours. Visitors are welcome to browse the collection, watch the artist at work, and purchase original prints, limited editions, and digital reproductions directly from the studio.
