About the artist
Jack Clayton is an illustrator / printmaker from London who specialises in the medium of woodcut printmaking. He relief prints his blocks by hand and often uses the reduction method to add multiple layers of colour from a single block of wood.
In 2010 he left the UK and spent 2 years travelling and working around Australia before venturing over to South East Asia and finally residing in Ho Chi Minh City. He has been creating art inspired by this new environment, hosting workshops and exhibitions ever since.

Originally from London, Jack creates unique art works inspired by his journey living in a totally new environment. All of his woodcut prints are drawn, carved and printed by hand and his complex illustrations are drawn in pen + pencil and digitally edited to create archival prints. He also teaches his craft from his own artist studio located in district 4 of HCMC and in many international schools and organisations across the country.
He has lived in Vietnam since 2012 and has been inspired by Vietnam's iconic street culture and history ever since. 'Jack Clayton Art Gallery' is the name of his gallery where he displays his entire portfolio for customers to view and pick their favourite alongside other carefully selected artists who share the same passion.
